aqua.protect
Within the framework of innovation promotion, the BLE supports the research project aqua.protect. Ulrich Schaffrath coordinates this network, which consists of four public research institutions and two companies. The aim of the project is the evaluation of a novel plant protection method using a product that has already been used in food hygiene before.
The environmentally friendly and health-compatible product aqua.protect is based on water that is electrochemically activated and specifically applied to the plants in connection with a prognosis method to be developed. No harmful residues remain on the plants. In order to investigate the effectiveness of aqua.protect against various pathogens that cause yield and quality losses and to develop a method for practical application, a group of research institutes and companies under the leadership of RWTH Aachen University has joined forces.
The project duration is set at 38 months in total.
